A Birthday To Remember

31 Mar

This one really was amazing. My BFF, my mom, Sydni and Scotty and of course yours truly, took off for a fabulous time in Hawaii. It was one of the Birthdays that I’ll never forget. Every day was filled with fun, happiness, and adventure. We discovered a food that was one of Syd and Scotty’s favorite. It’s called Pokie (not sure of the spelling) and man is it delish. It’s different choices of raw fish marinated over brown rice. But with a flavor that’s hard to beat, plus it melts in your mouth. Yummmm is all I can say. We loved it so much that we decided to get some for dinner. At the last minute I suggested we go down to the beach and set up the folding table and chairs and dine by the sea as the sun went down.  And that’s exactly what we did. It was gloriously wonderful and after dinner I did something I haven’t done in four years. We all decided to go to 31 Flavors and I had a kids half and half of Jamoca Almond Fudge and Macadamia Carmel. All I can say is OMG tasty! I know I talk about not cheating a lot but from this day forward I have decided if I am eating clean, and healthy all of the time once a year putting something not so great for me in my body is not going to hurt anything. It’s kind of like after my hundred and one year old mother forgets to take her evening pills because we are out for the afternoon and evening and having so much fun she (and I ) forget them. It doesn’t kill her. It doesn’t even throw her off. So every once in a while it’s ok to relax and give in to the joys of Jamoca Almond Fudge.
