Wonderful Success For My Husband

04 Apr

I was so happy to be able to share the moment with Jeff. Actually two moments. The first one was when we went out to dinner with his writing partner Hope, and her husband Lawrence for the celebration of their play “Without Annette officially being published through Play Scripts a publishing company in New York. It was an exciting dinner at Hugos complete with Champagne. I only had one and a half glassed but I did get fairly smashed on just that. Jeff was laughing at me a lot when we got home and I couldn’t walk a straight line. I am so happy for him and I hope his play gets out there into the public eye big time. Not only for his success but let’s face it, chaching! And for those of you who are too young to know the sound of caching, it’’s the sound a cash register used to make every time it opened.

The next big moment was when we turned on the TV to watch Bill Maher and saw the promotion for Spielberg’s “All The Way”, coming in May. “Look honey there you are”! And yes there he was and he promo looked very enticing.  Hopefully this will bring in more work for him.  Show business is a strange up and down business and he actually hasn’t worked since he did this film with Brian Cranston. But we are knowing more work is on the way.

And the third cool thing is that Jeff just did a short film with Sally Kirkland. Where they play and elderly couple, her with dementia and him being in so much pain from not taking really good care of himself. He decides dying together would be a love filled gesture. It’s kind of a dramady. Jeff and Sally played boyfriend and girlfriend in a film back in the early 80”s so I am interested to see how they look in this film after all of these years. I’m looking forward to the screening.
