This was the best competition yet! For the first time we were right up front in the line up of competitors. Which not only gave us time to just enjoy the whole event, it also gave us the opportunity to enjoy beautiful weather, some of the restaurants, relax time, and some of the splendor of San Diego. Oh yes and it’s the first time in three years that our feet and back didn’t hurt. I took home the gold once again Internationally. What a thrill for me. But, the bigger thrill came when we had to dash off early from our Awards Brunch on Sunday to make it back to L.A. in time to be with my husband Jeff who was being honored by the International Students Film Festival with a Lifetime Achievement Award that very evening. If you saw our day in a movie people would say, “Oh yeah like that really happens in real life.” But it did! And as they showed the ten-minute compilation of his work as an actor I was kveling for him. I was so proud of him and his speech was so wonderful. We didn’t feel like the power couple people said we were. We just both felt blessed to be able to share a truly blessed, loving, and supportive relationship.
