Last night we celebrated my daughter (step-daughter) Krista’s Birthday. How do these kids of mine keep getting older and I’m still a teen? It was her best birthday yet, she announced as she blew out the candles on her cupcakes. I am so happy for her because it really was one of the best. The other best was nine and ¾ years ago when she celebrated her first Birthday as a mother.  I was happy that Bubby was not only there but enjoying herself more than usual.  We are a game playing family and we played charades until the bowl of clues was empty. We shared a lot of laughs and memories and my mom told me she was tempted to get up and play with us.  A good time was had by all. I met Krista’s future mother –in-law. A delightful woman with a very thick French accent.  I’m looking forward to the day Krista and Alex make it official. I love them together and his two sons are great kids.
